Stand out from the crowd … be noticed!

Here are a few Gimmicks that have worked well in the past … give them a go!

• Do weird and wacky things that will get your groups name in the newspaper … whether it's an individual in your group doing a sponsored money raise or a grand production in the street … try and stand out!

• Your best resource is the people in your group - use that resource and do things like … dressing up and advertising your production in the high street - or go to a few local shops, supermarkets … hand out sweets and leaflets … (invite the newspapers down or write a Press release) don't let your group vanish off the face of the earth when you haven't got a production happening.

• Attend local fairs/markets/theme events and get involved in the community … it's a great way to have fun and do some Fund raising.

• Try and get a celebrity to sponsor your group, or endorse you. Write to a local famous person and ask them to be a patron or just send you a good luck gesture … they can only say no, so it's worth asking and again if they say yes then you can do a great Press release

• Be original … if you think of something fun and something that will help raise your profile and Image in the local community then do it!
