Pink Glove Productions are an entirely new amateur company based in London. Many of the members, although by no means all, met through Imperial College Operatic society some years ago. However as hardly any of them are students now it seemed inappropriate to keep "crashing" a student society! Hence Pink Glove Productions was formed.
There is no set performance schedule but basically PGP produce a show when a director/creative team approaches them with an idea they like. Their current interest is mostly in musicals, especially ones where there is an opportunity for lots of glitz! PGP aims for a very high standard and auditions are compulsory for all cast members including chorus.
Pink Glove is a very social group and this is an important aspect of the society, which is reflected in the fact that rehearsals are currently held on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons to provide ample opportunity to go out for a few drinks afterwards! Their website contains further information about the group and their upcoming show "Sweet Charity" at the Bridewell Theatre.
