Phoenix Players
The committee of Phoenix Players (amateur) wish to invite applications from Directors wishing to direct a musical Summer show for the group later in 2008.

Phoenix Players are a musical drama group established in 1983 and now based in Dulwich, South East London. The group has a modest membership base and produces two shows each year: a pantomime in Winter and a popular musical in Summer. In the past the group has produced shows such as The Biograph Girl, Honk, Jack the Ripper, Godspell and Personals. Further information on the group can be found at www.phoenixplayers.org.uk

The group meets weekly on Monday evenings in the Dulwich area and hopes to put on a show in late July/early August in the prestigious Edward Alleyn Theatre in Dulwich College. Suitable shows must be reflective of the modest membership and our group ethos of inclusiveness. Popular shows are preferred but the committee will always support a passionate Director with a lesser known show.

Applications should be made in writing to Phoenix_Players@hotmail.com before the end of January 2008

Dear Phoenix Players,

You might also think about posting on the Little Theatre Guild forum - specifically the South London Theatre thread. There might well be suitable people reading that who would be interested - especially as we don't often do musicals because our theatre isn't really designed for them and there are many frustrated musical-lovers out there!
