In a statement released this afternoon, a General Dogs Body said that attempts at mediation with Brigadier Flange had reached a point of no return. Despite mediation from Am Drams answer to Kate Aide, a Ms Anne ? Marie, is reported as saying that despite an exchange of coded messages (see Mind Games 11/12th March) the two sides were COUNTIES apart.
The disputed territory (Post) Code ref WC2 HOBN is claimed by both parties. Two star General Dogs Body has 90 to 100 troops plus 50 junior reservists lined up against Three star Brigadier Flanges army of less than 30.
Dogs Body will be battle ready on June 11th and expects a four day engagement, whilst Flange is delaying his onslaught until June 13th and expects that battle will only last two days.
Ms Adie? sorry Anne-Marie reported that she had threatened to use her bouncing bombs on both of them but to no avail. She had been out on the streets canvassing Public opinion of the impending action. A one time lighting tech who would only use his code name of Martin was so concerned that he was preparing to get his Super Troopers out in preparation for the defence of the skies above Guildford. In a long queue for tickets to a show named Shhhh (web site to go live shortly!!), out side the Theatre in Guildford a Maureen of Leicester, Aims from Dartford, and Chris D from Tring denied they were the Super Troopers referred to by Martin. A Mr Eeyore said he would assume the position of his avatar and bury his head in the sand when the time came.
Cha003 was extremely worried as SLT was halfway between Reading and Saffron Walden and should an aerial battle ensue, fall out could land on her Theatre.
Christine had no comment and was preparing to stay hidden under her Toadstool.
Foreign opinion had been counselled and an Australian spokesman referred to as Joe said he did not think the conflict would sink down under.
Zorro could not be contacted as he was busy Lording it with a ring.
Loopy Loupie said she was unsure where both Reading and Saffron Walden were.
The Supplier of weapons to both parties, A Samuel French of London, was unavailable for comment.
We await further news from the battle front.

Looks like I've been missing some fun!
I think I'll keep my head down until I've caught up with the diplomatic wrangling.
May the best man win.

Glad to see you back on the board, you can of course claim dispensation from a call up to battle if you claim you are not yet back to full strength!!
WC2 HOBN needs you!

Man of Suffolk, English, British and then a proud member of the Human Race. European - never.
Afraid I'll have to seek dispensation as still not 100% although well on the mend!

Latest reports in state that President Jane has waded into the conflict and is determined to bring both parties to the table to discuss matters and to try and stop any blood shed. She was seen whispering in ears and buying loads of cream cakes to try and ease the tension.

Received confirmation from S French that I am clear to take WC2 H0BN on 13th and 14th of June. I shall be putting my elite force through their paces for the first time this evening.
I wonder what that Quisling Maureen is up to? I hadn?t planned on having to defend a second front to my north-west?and if she links up with President Jane in Norwich, a pincer movement down the A14 and A11 could have me in trouble?time for a rethink of strategy.
If anyone wants me, I'll be in my bunker

Reviewed the troops last night, first rehearsal but was most disturbed by the report fron the producer of WC2 0HBN.
Aparently last week he was starring in our production of Tons of Money and at the end of Act 1 someone tried toblow him up!! with explosives and then at the end of act two someone stole his clothes whist he was out swimming. Was this the work of Brigadier Flange?
