I am trying to find a play that was written some years ago (Believe it or not by someone with the surname of Shakespeare!). I think it was called 'Now There's A Funny Thing"

I saw it in the theatre - there were two in the cast (one of them is now in Eastenders). One half was a rehearsal and the second half one of Max's turns.

As a life long fan of Max Miller - I saw every one of his performances at the Brighton Hippodrome after 1945 - I want to put this play on at the Players Theatre in Hurstpierpoint but cannot trace it.

I wonder if any one out there can help me find it?

Try emailing the Max Miller Appreciation Society at j_blake1@talk21.com.

They're only in Shoreham, which is quite near you. I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

"Now There's a Funny Thing" was his catchphrase.
