Anyone know how you get your own regional amateur dramatics site on the BBC server?

No I don't know, but looking at the first page of their search results, it looks like it is set up for certain regions like Devon and Suffolk, but not for all regions. If your region isn't covered, perhaps email them and suggest they set up something similar to say Devon.

What, me manage the content of a web site ... yer having a larf laugh.gif but there's so much amdram in Berkshire I do feel left out. guess that's why we have George biggrin.gif.

Kenny,
just having a trawl though the forum and spotted this one. We get our productions on BBC Essex. Originally they approached us when they decided to set up an amdram section for the region and basically I mail them with details for the basic listings and thien, if I have time, a photo and blurb a few weeks before the show. So as Claire said, contact your region's entertainment section and beg them to go Amdram as well. (yes I know it means more work!)

Is this something that people would like rather than the featured group spot - a featured production spot?

Claire
Jane,

Sounds a good idea for those weeks when there is no featured group. But perhaps it could be a mixed slot, so groups could do a feature including their upcoming show, so that it is still of general interest to the rest of us, not in that locality.

I have recently emailed the BBC contact given on their website with information regarding our current production. For some reason it doesn't seem to have been taken up.

It could be the timing, did I send it in too late or did I miss out something vital on the Email.
