We're doing this at the end of September and we need your help in locating Military Headgear! Those of you out there that have done this - how did you get all those helmets!! Does anyone have any bright ideas on where we can find this stuff?

We're based in Essex and have easy access to the M25 with a number of us working in London.

I know you'll do me proud!!

There are military costume speciallists around. The one we have used (not for OWALW, but having seen their stock, I know they could do it) is Sabre Sales in Southsea - Portsmouth, so a bit out of your orbit, but worth considering if you don't find anywhere else.

(There are also the London professional companies who probably have stock.)

Sabre Sales are great!

The SLT wardrobe in West Norwood has various military bits and bobs, and is open on Tuesday nights - more details are at www.southlondontheatre.co.uk

Think we have a couple of tin helmets in our costume cupboard. They may have been promised to anpother local company doing Blitz but i'll check with our costume for you.

I think this is just a 'little' too far out for us! But thanks for making the effort!! I am a little worried by 'all 65 of them' comment........ I think we'll need to get a bigger props table.... sad.gif

Torbay do deliver!! This show was a nightmare for costumeing - each of the actors had to have a large box to keep hats and personal props in! Good luck!! rolleyes.gif

I'm going to see a production of OWALW next week. Never seen it before, and after reading this thread I can't wait.
