All,

I have noticed that there are a lot of groups etc that are not yet entered into the groups database: http://www.amdram.co.uk/zgroups.htm you should do this because it is FREE publicity!

I would also suggest the webring http://www.amdram.co.uk/RobRing/ring.html this is an excellent means of getting traffic to travel between different amdram sites therefore promoting publicity.

Most importantly........
Add your next production to the production database, even if you don't have a web presence, you can leave a telephone number for people to call!

We sold more than a few tickets because of this free publicity!

Adding your group to the database and joining the web ring are great because you do them once and then they're always there with no further work (unless you have to amend your contact details).

Even I keep forgetting the productions database - it's not that much effort really though, one visit to add the event details, and maybe one other visit closer to the event to put the final details in.

And you can apply to put your society "In The Spotlight" for a week.

And if you amend the details you get a mention in Jane's weekly newsletter. And that's LOADS of potential audience eyes!!

And ... I've run out of ands.

You can't knock free publicity from a site that gets thousands of visitors a week. This is a great idea.

Can I just say that your group or production is added to the newsletter once - when the original entry is added. It's no good going in every week and amending your details for further coverage - we pick up most of them smile.gif

What happens is every time you add or amend details in the groups and productions database I get sent an email with the details. This information is checked against the database to ensure that there is only one entry and that the information is correct (for example it's listed as a current production). If the entry is new it is recorded for the newsletter and then all entries are sent an acknowledgment. This is all done by hand and we do miss amendments or new entries sometimes - you can see from the newsletter how many we get!

Please, please, please don't amend your entry every week, I shall get very unhappy! unsure.gif
