Does anyone know whether their local performing arts library has a copy of the Orchestral Set for Calamity Jane, as Surrey doesn't have it? We can hire it from Weinbergers, but that will cost almost ?150 for a month, which seems rather expensive. Inter-library loan rates would suit us much better.

Please reply to this posting or email us at cuddingtonplayers@hotmail.com if you have any suggestions.

Thank you.

It is only available for hire.

Rupert Sharp of Weinbergers has replied to me directly regarding this post and has asked that I copy their reply onto the board for everyone else to see too. So here it is.

smile.gif Dear Claire,

Thanks for your email.
Published items, such as libretti and vocal scores, can be purchased or
rented from a variety of sources. However, orchestral parts for the shows
that we represent are not published and are available on rental only from
us, as part of each performing group's licensing agreement.
Our rental charges are not exorbitant when compared with other Hire
Libraries within the industry and there is no VAT on rental charges.
I shall be grateful if you will post another message on the AmDram website
to enlighten their users in connection with this matter.

With thanks, in advance,
Rupert Sharp smile.gif
