Uncle Harvey
The director for our next main production, Fiddler on the Roof. Has the idea to project
the fiddler onto the set. As we have limited space and budget the easiest way, as far I as I can see is to use a profile and a gobo.

DHA as far I I can tell from there web site don't do a 'fiddler' as a stock gobo.

So has anyone used this effect before? or has anyone got a suitable gobo we can blag, buy or borrow?

The size is not an important issue, for belive it or not we haven't got a profile on the rig.
so we would have to hire one in anyway.

I know DHA will make a custom gobo, however I belive thay cost ?30 plus, and that is quite a lot for an effect of very short duration.

We have absolutely the perfick thing for you, Harv.

We had a fiddler logo designed for when we did it and still have the gobo - B size. But as it is such a nice gobo Ian doesn't want to let it go forever - we would like it back after the show. It is a representation of a fiddler.

We used the logo for programme artwork as well as the gobo: if you want to do the same, a talented artist can probably nick the logo from the gobo.

Anyway, Ian's up at our theatre tomorrow night so will try to remember to bring it back. When do you need it? PM me your address and I'll send it over as soon as we've got it.
