Anyone know where I can buy the old-fashioned type lisle stockings?
There's a shop called 'Fairheads' in Ilford, Essex that sells them.
(Don't ask me how I know that!)

As usual the truth is much less interesting than the speculation.
The ladies needed seamed stockings for a carnival we did a number of years ago. Mrs Robin never forgets the name of a useful contact and it was easy to then look up the number.
