Full Version: In answer to "Which character are you?"

Lightman
This is open to staging people, so director, lighting, sound etc.

Not actors who only strut the boards and never do other things! smile.gif

well it is the only one I wear apart from sound and staging help!

Jesus Christ Superstar
Maureen
I'd like to direct Blue Remembered Hills although (dare I mention it here) I'd quite like to be in it too! My next directing job is likely to be A Murder is Announced as our audiences love that kind of thing and they haven't had a good bit of Agatha Christie for ages.

And Nick, the "which character?" thread asks which character is most like you, NOT which character you'd like to play! Techies can get so tetchy.... wink.gif

Blimey - there are hundreds - this could be a long list

I've already been Rapunzel in Into the woods but would love to do it again as any of the other characters (especially Bakers Wife ... but due to the "Agreement" i have with my other half it's a part I could never do sad.gif )

Obviously I'd really like the part I'm auditioning for on Saturday in Titanic (if I get it I'll then be able to contribute to the "Which caracter have you played that you're most like discussion)

I'd also love to be in:
How to Succeed in Business without really Trying (I'd quite like to direct it, one day)
Guys and Dolls
City of Angels
Witches of Eastwick
Half a Sixpence
You're a good man Charlie Brown
Best Little Whorehouse

Show's i'd never do again:
Oliver
TR_Wolf
I'd adore to be in La Cage Aux Folles again, either as Phaedra again, or maybe another Cagelle such as Hannah, or maybe get up the guts to try for Jacob, I dont quite think I'd have the bottle to go for Albin! tongue.gif
Simon
To direct, the one I'd most like to do is whatever I've just acted in, because everybody else got it wrong, and if only I could have been in charge, how much better it would have been!!! mad.gif laugh.gif

But seriously, I'd love to direct Fiddler on the Roof, as I love the mix of humour music and drama, and so many characters are so interesting.

Oliver

West side Story
Return to the forbidden Planet
Wind in the Willows

As far as costume goes, I'd love to do La Cage aux Folles, just for the sheer glam of it all, and something mystical like Midsummer Night's dream. When in Birmigham, Maureen and I wanted an Elizabethan musial to dress, just because we kept finding fab fabric for it. I'm also desperately hoping that our next school production is going to be Just So, because it is new and it means all the animals have to change their appearance magically on stage, and I'm dying to do it - leopards changing spots, elephant ganing a trunk, etc etc. Given unlimited time and budget, I'd also like to costume My Fair Lady

Like Groovey, I would also very much like to direct City of Angels. It intrigues me, and I could see it being enormously challenging in many respects.

I'm not sure i want to be in Oliver any more; I've been in it five times! I'm crazy! I've been Nancy, Oliver and chorus. I know the script off by heart- well almost! smile.gif I want to be in Jesus Christ Superstar, cabaret- there's loads of stuff i want to be in tongue.gif
