First, our current pc database is falling over and the s/w is no longer available. Has anyone any specific experience of mailing database s/w with the ability to select interest groups that is cheap, easy to use and theatre friendly? We realise we can knock something up in Access or buy Act!, but just wondered whether anyone had any more specific advice. Current mailing list is 4,000.

Second, any leads on UK available ticketing s/w? My searches to date always lead back to the USA, anything out there more homegrown and suitable for 200 seat amateur theatre?

About your database!

It depends on what format your data is currently in as to what options you have MS Access is very sophisticated and if you already have it installed on your machine then it does not cost you anything.

Your main concerns need to be the conversion of existing data, I am sure that you do not want to re-enter all the data!

If you structure your Access database correctly you should be able to filter certain interest groups.

I would take this non expensive route!
