There's a song we would like to do in our next show but we dont know who it is or what it's called. (silly I know!) I've tried all the usual internet sources so is there someone out there that knows these lyrics?
the chorus goes......
"Ev'ry day when I'm without you.....hurts...just a little bit more...than....more than I've been hurt before"
....I think.
If we can find out the artist and title then I can try and buy the midi.
Many thanks

It sounds like "Every Day Hurts" by Sad Caf?. I wouldn't swear to it but it sounds similar ....

You were right to say that, it was our top answer.

Sadly, it's my era! Although I hasten to add I wasn't listening to the likes of Sad Caf? then, honest ....

"I'm all out of love, I'm so lost without you ..."
LOL - yet more of my schooldays (the era, that is, not necessarily the sentiment!)

You, you, you're good! You should be on the stage!

Fortunately, my obviously natural and startling comedic skills won't be needed for my next stage incarnation as (wait for it) ..... Medea!
(thinks "Ee Gods, what I have I got myself into....)

Sadly I too must confess that Sad Cafe was smack in my generation too - and I also confess it still is one of my faves...sigh...

Nothing to be ashamed of, Maureen! Although I will admit that Air Supply was a bit too sickly for my tastes ....

In a moment of curiosity, I did a quick search on the aforementioned Sad Cafe numebr and came across a complilation album that contained the following.
COME BACK AND STAY - PAUL YOUNG
GIVE A LITTLE BIT - SUPERTRAMP
THE LOGICAL SONG - SUPERTRAMP
BREAKFAST IN AMERICA - SUPERTRAMP
OH CAROL - SMOKIE
WHATEVER GETS YOU THRU THE NIGHT - JOHN LENNON
ANGELO - BROTHERHOOD OF MAN
HEAVEN CAN WAIT - MEATLOAF
EVERY DAY HURTS - SAD CAFE
INSTANT KARMA - JOHN LENNON
WHAT COLOUR IS THE WIND - CHARLIE LANDSBOROUGH
ALL TOGETHER NOW - THE FARM
DON'T PAY THE FERRYMAN - CHRIS DE BURGH
RASPUTIN - BONEY M
NEVER NEVER NEVER - SHIRLEY BASSEY
The Lennon numbers apart, this combination probably says a lot about the track. However, how the hell did THE FARM get lumped with that lot?
Helen, Maureen, would any of these be on your karaoke list?

Blimey, there's an album to buy for someone who's really pi... cheesed you off!! With the possible exception of Rasputin (purely for the kitzch value of course), none of those would inspire me towards the karaoke mic, that's for sure .....

Oooh what a treat! I LOVED Supertramp! But who the bl**dy hell was Charlie Landsborough? I'd heard of all the others except this. And the least said about Brotherhood of Man, the better. One other number from this era that I always loved, and still do (sorry) is Video Killed the Radio Star by The Buggles. Remember that?

Trevor Horn. He invented Big glasses and sold the patent to Christopher Biggins, Dennis Taylor and Elton John.

Fairly good argument for why he should never be allowed anywhere near the entertainment industry ever again ...

Sad to say, that Sad Cafe
Cannot be found at all
Every Day Hurts, so very true
As I headed for a fall
I searched a site in German
but "Ve haf not vound ur file"
But not to be daunted at these words
I carried on for a while
I found a site in Arabic
Another in Japanese
But just got more dispondent
Cos it wasn't in either of these
I had a search in Bandtrax
And a search in Hands On too
But all I got was, "song not found"
"Can we find another for you?" <_<
So thanks for your responses
and your very humourous post
I'm now off to find a Sad Cafe
And order a piece of toast!
