GROUPS I have forgotten my username and/or password for the groups' database - how do I get it back? At the moment, we have to reassign the record to you using new information. Contact Us telling us exactly which group record you want assigned and give us a new username and password. If you just want to add a new group record, then you can create a new username and password yourself from the groups' database page. Registering enables you to add information to our databases and that information then remains under your control. You don't need to register in order to search the databases or use most parts of the site. Why is different registration required for the databases, the forum and the chat room? Our databases currently use software that requires each database to be set up separately, we are currently working on having bespoke software created for us that should resolve this problem. The Forums and the Chat Room use free software available from the Internet. You only have to register once for each and there's nothing to stop you using the same details for all three. Why do I have to register to use the forums? You need to register to post a message on the forum, but you can read messages without registering. You need to register so that we have a method of contacting you if necessary. Your email address is secure, the boards use a method of internal messages, you don't reveal your email address unless you want to. Your email address is not added to any other lists. Why do I have to register to use the chat room? You need to register to use the chat room, but very little information is requested. By registering you have a username name which means you can chat. If money is involved then it will be treated as a Commercial Organisation and you will have to pay. How can my group be the featured group? If you want to be the featured group then I need an article from you telling me about your group. This should not be a plug of a current production. Information should be sent via our ticketing system. Once you have been accepted, you will receive a reply giving you the URL of your page. At that point, you will be asked if you want to send a couple of photographs by email - you will be given the email address to use. How can I find a particular play? I get something like 500 emails a day, a high percentage of which are spam, viruses, etc. I now delete emails directly from the server and occasionally have deleted a valid email. By using the on line Help Desk, you can be assured that your message will get to me. It is also possible for me to check the Help Desk from any where in the world, not just via my lap top (although I can can check my email remotely it takes a very long time to separate the dross from the valid enquiry). You need to search our groups' database and click search for a group. You can now enter the relevant information into the database search fields. How do I find a production in my area? You need to search our productions' database and click search for a production. You can now enter the relevant information into the database search fields. How do I find auditions in my area? You need to search our auditions database. You can now enter the relevant information into the database search fields. Once a week Jane sends out a weekly mailing which gives information about what's been updated in the site as well as other general information. You can opt into or out of the mailing list at any time. Your email address is safe and is NEVER passed on to anyone else. How do I join the Mailing List? On the right hand side of most pages, you will find a link. Follow the link and create a new account - you can unsubscribe at any time. You will receive confirmation that you have been added to the mailing list. How do I leave the Mailing List? Some people who are using Norton Internet Security have reported a problem when trying to view the Classified Ads page. I understand that if you do the following you will be able to see the page correctly and post and read the adverts. 1 Please ensure that your computer is Java enabled. Click on any of the information and you will be able to edit the information in the record. Once you have amended the information, click on modify and the amended details will be recorded.
