Established in 1994, Curtain Call is designed to serve the amateur theatre community in Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire; the first edition went out 12 years ago.  It publishes 6 bi-monthly editions a year, and is now available as a paper-based magazine or via email as a .pdf.

Curtain Call's past reviews (6 months or older) are all going to be archived on amdram (it takes time!).  We are also hoping that past articles can also be archived.  It is hoped that reviews from other parts of the country will be incorporated into this review section.

The amdram.co.uk web site is designed to use Curtain Call's information base to give more people access - and perhaps help to get more readers, too!

This site was initially funded by Curtain Call - largely from its Alliance and Leicester privatisation dividend!  Ongoing funding will, we hope, come from business sponsors and increases in circulation.

You can subscribe to Curtain Call at three different levels:

GROUP SUBSCRIPTION costs £12.30 for 6 editions. Not only do you get the magazine, but you can also submit your production details, audition dates, production leaflets etc. You might even get your production reviewed. You must choose this option if you are a group.

INDIVIDUAL POSTAL SUBSCRIPTION costs £8.00 for 6 editions. You get the magazine and any leaflets by mail, but you can’t advertise any productions or auditions. You cannot choose this option if you are a group.

INDIVIDUAL EMAIL SUBSCRIPTION costs £5.00 for 6 editions. You get the magazine by email. We save the postage and you save money! You cannot choose this option if you are a group.

Sample copies are available free to groups and individuals in the East Anglia area, just ask for one! - don't forget to give a snailmail address.

Please note that you don't have to be a Curtain Call subscriber to have listings published on amdram!
