Forum Maintenance

Over the next few days I will be carrying out essential maintenance work on the forum, which means I might have to shut it for a while. I will try and limit the amount of disturbance, but please understand whilst this happens. Thanks.

The Databases

As you probably know, we lost a major amount of data between the 11th of August and yesterday 6th of October). Luckily I get a copy of every new addition or amendment, but it would be impossible to re-enter everything myself. Where people have given an email address I am slowly getting through all the information and writing to them, but ... not everyone includes an email address. If you have added information into the databases between these dates, can you please check and make sure your entry is still there - if it isn't can you re-enter it please? Thanks

We're getting back to normal

The databases, ticketing system and classified ads are all now back on line - that's the good news. The bad news is that any information added after the 11th of August has been lost. I will be emailing everyone that I can and asking them to re-submit information, but if you know that's you, then please re-submit. Thank you everyone for your patience and understand.

Parts of the site not working

At the moment it appears that the classified ads and the online Help Desk are not working. The databases appear to be currently off line as well. The problem at the moment is that the site is running on a fairly old backup, the hosts are trying to find a more recent one. If I amend anything today they could then overwrite any corrections with another restore. In the meantime, if you need to contact me, please email me at jane@amdram.co.uk.

Forum and website

Following a server crash, the amdram.co.uk website and forum have been backed up from a while ago. The backups since then and mine have been corrupted by the server. There are still problems with the site and the forum which will be worked on for the next couple of days. Please bear with me as the site is being repaired.

Forum problem persists

Unfortunately the forum is still not working. I've been having serious problems with the hosts of the site who keep insisting that the forum is working, when very clearly it isn't. I have been emailing them since the problem started and am getting to the end of my patience. I am so sorry that this problem is persisting, hopefully it will get reinstated soon.

And still the problems continue

Unfortunately the forum is still down. We are aware of the problem, which was caused by a server crash on Thursday morning, and are still working to restore normal service. I am so sorry for the lack of forum, and can only assure you that we are doing everything we can to get it back up and running as soon as possible.
