The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), established in 1904 is the most famous classical acting school in the United Kingdom, and one of the most respected academies in the world. Its alumni include many of the great names of both yesterday and today - Sir John Gielgud, Vivienne Leigh, Anthony Hopkins, Ralph Fiennes, Alan Rickman, Juliet Stevenson, Peter O'Toole, Kenneth Branagh, Glenda Jackson, Joan Collins and many more.
Guests sailing on Queen Mary 2 between May and November this year will have the opportunity to see a very different type of entertainment program. Cunard is moving the successful Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) theatre program to a prestigious main evening slot in the ships Royal Court Theatre. A cast of six graduate actors on the thresholds of their careers will present abridged versions of well know plays on every Queen Mary 2 Transatlantic sailing throughout 2007.
This is a departure from the traditional evening entertainment program which will still feature many hi-calibre guest entertainers and musical productions however, by offering a play normally only available in commercial theatre guests will benefit even further from the unique Cunard and RADA partnership.
The Cruise Specialists in association with AMDRAM are pleased to offer cruises departing throughout 2007. Enjoy a luxurious traditional transatlantic voyage on one of the worlds finest cruise liners and indulge in your passion for drama with RADA. Take the opportunity to hone your acting skills with daytime classes and workshops.
